Will my child still be able to use a hearing aid in the other ear after cochlear implantation on one ear?

Cochlear implant gives good hearing and helps in development of language when done at right age. if there is good response with hearing aid in the other ear then hearing aid should be given so that child has binaural hearing. If the response is not adequate with hearing aid then also it should be given so that it provides some stimulation to the residual ganglion cells and nerve fibres, which may be helpful if you choose to get implant in the other ear later on.
